Growing Faith. Growing Minds. Growing Confidence.

A safe, nurturing preschool and childcare where children are prepared for kindergarten and rooted in Christian values.

At First Baptist Preschool, we believe choosing a preschool is an important decision, and we are honored to partner with families during these formative years. Our enrollment process is designed to be welcoming, transparent, and supportive – ensuring that each child is placed in an environment where they can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Enrollment in our preschool is more than paperwork – it’s the beginning of a partnership built on care, faith, and trust. We are committed to walking alongside families with compassion, clear communication, and a shared goal of helping children grow with confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation in God’s love.

After reviewing the information below, we invite you to contact us to schedule a tour or begin the enrollment process.

How to Enroll

Before enrolling, parents are required to meet with the preschool director for a pre-admission orientation. This meeting gives families the opportunity to learn more about our program, ask questions, and ensure that First Baptist Preschool is the right fit for their child. This thoughtful step allows us to begin building a strong partnership with each family and support every child with care and intention.

Families are also strongly encouraged to schedule a walk-through tour prior to their child’s start date. A visit allows parents to explore the classroom environment, meet our staff, and gain a better understanding of our curriculum, daily routines, and faith-based approach to learning. We believe that familiarity helps both parents and children feel confident and prepared for this exciting new chapter.

To complete the enrollment process, families must submit the official enrollment forms provided during the pre-admission meeting, as required by state licensing. All forms must be completed prior to attendance and kept current throughout the school year to maintain enrollment.

Required Enrollment Documentation

To ensure the safety and well-being of all children, the following items must be on file before a child begins attending First Baptist Preschool:

  • Completed enrollment form, including health and immunization records*

  • Medical statement form and immunization documentation*

  • Emergency transportation authorization

  • List of authorized adults for child pick-up

  • Family questionnaire

  • Family Needs Survey

  • Scheduled days and times of attendance if attending part-time

*We strongly recommend that children receive immunizations as advised by the health department to protect the health of all children and staff. Families who choose to decline immunizations must have a signed statement on file noting the reason, as permitted by law.

Financial Assistance and Tuition Support

In keeping with our mission of affordable, high-quality care for every family, First Baptist Preschool partners with community programs to help reduce the cost of preschool education.

  • We accept Publicly Funded Child Care (PFCC) and state-issued vouchers.

  • As an approved partner of the Alliance Employment Promise (AEP), families employed by participating AEP businesses – including Coastal Pet, MAC Trailer, Morgan Engineering, Robertson’s Heating Supply, and Winkle Industries – may qualify for an employer-paid subsidy of $200 per child per month toward tuition.

Our team is happy to work with families to explore available options and ensure preschool remains accessible and supportive of each child’s needs.

Meals and Snacks

At First Baptist Preschool, we prioritize the health and nutrition of every child. All meals and snacks meet Ohio licensing standards and the federal Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), providing balanced, wholesome nutrition. Children present at scheduled times are offered breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack, with the option for extra helpings.

Meals are prepared in-house by our experienced cook. To maintain a safe and consistent environment, parents generally may not bring outside food, except to accommodate specific dietary restrictions. In such cases, parents must provide food that meets Ohio licensing standards.
